1973 Queen Elizabeth II Isle of Man Half Sovereign Coin & Rope Pendant Mount SOLD
A 22ct gold half sovereign dated 1973 Queen Elizabeth II mounted in a circular rope edge 9ct yellow gold pendant mount with tapered swing bale.
No British sovereigns or half sovereigns were minted in 1973 however the Isle of Man did issue gold half sovereigns from the Pobjoy Mint.
The obverse features the Queen Elizabeth II bust as featured on other British gold sovereigns of the period.
The reverse features a Norse warrior on horseback similar to the St George and Dragon motif by Benedetto Pistrucci.
Very good condition. Diameter 24mm. Gross Weight: 5.83g
